WHAT IS BOTOX?

BOTOX is a revolutionary non-invasive treatment used to reduce the signs of aging, treat migraine symptoms, and excessive sweating. In addition, BOTOX has also been used to cure blepharospasm, a condition in which the eyes twitch uncontrollably.

BEFORE RECEIVING TREATMENT

Before receiving treatments, a required consultation is needed to assess your overall health as well as determine if BOTOX injections are best suited for treatment areas or other reasons for concern. After a determination is made, your medical provider at Hehr Aesthetics will assess the treatment area and recommend their professional and medical opinion for optimal results. The patient will have an opportunity to ask questions, receive a quote, and determine next steps.

THE BOTOX® PROCEDURE

The BOTOX injections are administered to the treatment area and a small sting is felt. The effects are not permanent and typically last 4-5 months post procedure. After receiving injections, the patient should remain upright for 4-6 hours as well as avoid strenuous activity. Patients over the age of 65 may not experience as dramatic of a result due to the elasticity of the skin. When treating signs of aging, BOTOX is primarily used in treating expression lines around the eyes and forehead. It is not used to repair deep wrinkles, or sagging skin.

POST-TREATMENT INFORMATION

After the procedure, patients may experience slight bruising or redness around the treatment areas for a few hours. Patient should refrain from strenuous activities 4-6 hours after treatment. If being treated for the first time, patient will be asked to make follow up appointment 2 weeks after treatment to monitor results.
